Whenever this show comes up in a thread I wax nostalgic. It is one of those specific shows that fastened tightly onto my consciousness in my early GD concert days. I began my second try at college in January 1981 (upstate NY), but it wasn’t until May that I ventured away from campus to see my seventh show (Ithaca) As I came to know other heads at school, I learned about Utica after the fact, and while I regretted missing it, I was sure not to make that mistake again.

One of my many favorite tapes of the era, I highly recommend giving it a listen.

The second eet must have been the roses is one of the best versions of this tune...
